What Beaches Are In the Paphos Marina Area?
Paphos Marina holds a lot of promise as a site planned to accommodate 1,000 boats, docking facilities and more. The many residential and commercial real estate opportunities are sure to give the area a significant boost, too.
For the average tourist though, one of the most important things of all is the chance to enjoy the lovely weather by a sandy beach – and as you may already know, Cyprus has plenty of these. So, if you’re interested in visiting the new marina when it’s built, here are just a few of the beaches in the area that we’d suggest you take a look at.
Akamas
If you pay a visit to the Akamas of Paphos, you’ll find that there are quite a few things for you to see and do. Above all else though, if you’re looking for the perfect seaside holiday, you’ll want to check out Blue Lagoon Beach.
Many would consider it to be one of the island’s most beautiful beaches; thanks to its breathtaking views and clear waters. It’s also a great snorkelling spot, which is another factor that makes this particular area a popular destination.
While you’re in Akamas, you could also pay a visit to Latsi Beach or Petra Tou Romiou, or other interesting places like Pomos Village.
Coral Bay
Located near Peyia, Coral Bay is a destination that many of those who have been to Paphos before will know of. It’s one of the most popular destinations of the city for families and couples, thanks to its perfect golden sand and shallow, crystal-clear water. The Blue Flag certification, meaning that it meets all the requirements of the EU, only further proves that this is one of the best beaches around.
If you come for a visit when the Paphos Marina is done, you’re sure to want to take the time to come and relax here at Coral Bay.
Latchi
Situated in the town of Polis Chrysochous, a beautiful coastal resort area not too far from Paphos, Latchi Beach is a beautiful little stretch near the marina area. Like Coral Bay, Latchi also has Blue Flag certification, so you can trust that it’s a great option.
With the natural beauty that surrounds Latchi Beach and its stunning waters and beautiful sand, it’s not hard to see why this area is a must-visit. When you also consider the fact that the beach has plenty of facilities on offer too, from toilets to disabled access, Latchi has certainly earned its popularity.
What other beaches are in the area?
Due to its location, there are plenty of great beaches that will be near the Paphos Marina. Outside of the few mentioned above, you might also want to pay a visit to ones like:
- Aphrodite’s Beach
- Vardas Beach
- White River beach
Paphos Marina is shaping up to be a fantastic attraction for a whole host of holidaymakers and the fact that it has so many wonderful seaside spots (as well as towns and villages) nearby only makes it more worthwhile, even if you’re only hoping to sit back and relax in the sun.
Other things to do at Paphos Marina
Once the marina is complete, there’s a good chance that you’ll find quite a lot to keep you entertained. While the existing tourist scene is jam-packed and full of things to see and do right now, it’s no secret that the marina is going to add a whole new facet to holidays in Paphos – and around Cyprus, too.
Alongside everything else that this area already has to offer, from its archaeological sites to the scenery, there’s no doubt that you’re going to have a great time during your time at the Paphos Marina.
